Departed Digital is a digital legacy service for families in the UK and beyond. After someone dies, we close or memorialise their online accounts on the family's behalf: Facebook, Instagram, Apple, Google, email, Amazon, PayPal, subscriptions and any other account you name. You tell us once, send the documents once, and we do every form, every follow up and every chase until each account is resolved, then give you a written record of what happened.

What it costs: Essential £149 for up to two accounts, Standard £249 for up to five, Estate £399 for as many as there are. One payment per case, no hourly rate, and the price does not change if a platform takes months.

What we do

What we never do

We never ask for a password and we never log in to anyone's account. Every request goes through the platform's own official process for a death, using the documents the family already has. We do not promise outcomes a platform cannot deliver: nobody can force Apple to hand over an account without a court order, and we will tell you that before you pay, not after.

Who it is for

How it works

1
Tell us about your loved one

A short form: their name, the accounts you know about, and whether each one should be closed or kept as a memorial. It takes about a minute, and it is fine not to know them all.

2
Choose a package and pay securely

Essential, Standard or Estate, paid by card. You receive a private case page and a confirmation email straight away.

3
Send the documents once

The death certificate and proof that you can act, uploaded to your case page. We use them for every platform, so you never send them twice.

4
We do the rest

Every request, in the right order, with the right documents, chased until it is done. You can add accounts as you find them. At the end you receive the written record.

Where we work

Departed Digital is run from London by its founder, Steven Kong, and works with families anywhere in the UK, because none of this needs a visit. Families abroad use the same service; checkout shows your local currency, and the platforms' processes are the same worldwide, with the documents translated where a platform needs it.

The free alternative

Everything we do, a family can do themselves, and we have written the guides to do it: one for each platform, the checklist, the documents, and what to do when a request is not working. Many families start there and come to us for the accounts that will not move. There is nothing to buy on any guide.

Questions families ask

Do you need the passwords?

No, never. Every platform has an official process for a death that works with documents, not passwords, and that is the only route we use.

How long does it take?

It depends on the platforms. Facebook and Instagram memorials often complete within days of a clean request; removals and Google or Apple closures usually take weeks. We resubmit on schedule and tell you where each one is. The price is the same however long a platform takes.

What if you cannot close an account?

Occasionally a platform will not act without something the family cannot provide, such as a court order for Apple data. We tell you as soon as it is clear, explain the options, and the written record shows exactly what was tried.

Can you get the photos?

Sometimes. If a Legacy Contact or Inactive Account Manager was set up, yes. If not, Apple and Google require a court order for account contents, and we will say so before you pay. We help families find where else the photos live, which is usually more productive.

Is it only for the UK?

No. Most families are in the UK, and the guides have UK versions, but the service works anywhere, with checkout in your local currency.
